Description | McCune Road Street Reconstruction project consists of but not limited to the installation of a subsurface storm water drainage system, storm water structures, water/sanitary main and service improvements,full-depth pavement rehabilitation, standard/rolled curb & gutter, ADA compliant paths, and illumination. This project has been separated as Base Bid I through III. Base Bid I: Demolition- consist of the removal of existing pavement structure, standard/rolled curb & gutter, driveways, sidewalks, ramps, signage, misc. landscaping, trees, encroaching rockwalls/chainlink fences, and misc. drainage pipes. Roadway improvements- include “two” new full-depth pavement structure along the implemented one lane two-way traffic corridor consisting of 2.5” HMAC, prime coat, 8” flex. base, 12” over excitation of clays and import of select fill, and 8” in place-cement stabilized subgrade 2.5” HMAC, prime coat, 8” flex. base 12” compacted subgrade. Additional roadway improvements consist of 6” concrete driveways, 6” concrete curb & gutter, 4” concrete rolled curb, traffic calming measures, 4” ADA compliant sidewalks/modified sidewalks, accessible ramps with truncated domes, and safety lighting. Traffic improvements - include new pavement striping and signage. Utility improvements – consist of adjusting and relocating manhole covers, water meters, water valves, fire hydrants, and newwater/sanitary service improvements. A new subsurface storm water drainage networkwith drop inlets will be integrated into an existing storm water line along San Jose Road to alleviate storm water runoff from McCune Road. Illumination improvements - will include safety lighting along approaching curves and midblock sections. Base Bid II: Relocation and installation of a new water main along McCune Road. Base Bid III: Relocation and installation of a new sanitary sewer main along McCune Road. |
