Design Well 9 and Pumphouse

The well is to be located on city land in the Dry Canyon north of Black Butte Blvd. The facility will include a new well, pumphouse and site improvements. It is anticipated that the well and building design will be similar to the city’s South Redmond Water Facility currently under construction, but the scope will include a review of alternatives for well diameter to potentially increase the options for well drilling. A preliminary estimate of the cost of construction for the well and pumphouse is $4 million although that estimate will be refined through the design process. The water supply addition is needed as soon as possible so an expedited timeline is desirable with options for early bidding and construction of the well while finalizing pumphouse plans.
