Description | The University of Maine, located in Orono, Maine, is seeking sealed proposals for the pre-qualification of contractors to provide labor, equipment, and materials for the following on-call general facilities and mechanical maintenance services, which may include construction, for projects below $50,000. a. Asphalt Paving Services (Trade A) b. Door Installation & Repair Services, Interior & Exterior (Trade B) c. Carpentry Services (Trade C) d. Masonry & Concrete Services (Trade D) e. Painting Services, Interior & Exterior (Trade E) f. Emergency Spill Response Services (Trade F) g. Storm Water Catch Basin Cleaning Services (Trade G) h. Vehicle Body & Rust Repair Services (Trade H) The University is seeking proposals for services in the areas listed below. Work will be on an as-called basis. The shop manager or designee responsible for overseeing the service will initiate the call and represent the University accordingly. Both planned and unplanned maintenance work will be covered by the Contract. Services are normally scheduled during regular business hours but may be needed on an emergency basis after hours and on weekends and holidays. Upon request, Contractors may be required to provide materials to perform the work. Deadline for Questions, due no later than 4:00pm Friday, September 30, 2022 Response to Questions, due no later than 4:00pm Wednesday, October 5, 2022 The initial Contract term shall be for a period of no more than one (1) year commencing upon October 1, 2022 and concluding on June 30, 2023. Quoted pricing for labor, equipment, materials, and material discounts shall be firm for the initial term. With mutual written agreement of the parties, the Contract may be extended for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods. The right is reserved to extend the Contract beyond the Contract Term if this is deemed to be in the best interest of the University. The University reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in whole or in part, and is not necessarily bound to accept the lowest cost proposal if that proposal is contrary to the best interests of the University. |
