Description

Granite School District (GSD) is requesting the services of a certified Asbestos Contractor to abate the existing Asbestos flooring at Skyline High School, 3760 South 3251 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Work shall include, but is not limited to: o Protection of existing walls, surfaces, utilities, infrastructure, and surrounding area. o Abatement of existing tile and mastic. o Abatement of existing carpet and mastic. o Abatement of existing masti Contractor shall comply with all applicable EPA and OSHA regulations. furnish all labor, material, and equipment to perform the abatement. The job is only completed after all work at the job site has been completed and inspected by GSD's asbestos inspector or their representative and all close outs have been turned in to GSD. Close out shall include, but is not limited to: floor plan(s) of the school with the areas that were abated marked with the footages and material type, asbestos certification(s) of workers, AHERA response, daily logs and manifest with each section signed. The school floor plan(s) and AHERA response will be handed out at the bid walk. Project Start and Completion Dates. Mobilization to the site shall occur Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Project completion shall be not later than Friday, July 28, 2023. Contractor shall furnish all labor and equipment to remove, and properly dispose off-site, all asbestos and construction waste and debris. Contractor shall furnish a dumpster for disposal of all materials and waste. GSD disposal container(s) shall not be used by Contractor. The successful Contractor will be required to pass a background check which will allow for issuance of a security badge and additional access. The badge costs $40.00 payable by exact cash or a VISA or Master Card in the name of the individual receiving the badge. Only the Site Superintendent and Project Manager will be required to acquire a badge. Questions must be submitted by Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 9:00 AM. All questions must be submitted via the Utah Public Procurement Place (U3P). All questions will be answered by Addendum issued to all bidders via U3P not later than Friday, March 24, 2023 by 12:00 pm. Contractor is responsible for reviewing the responses to any questions posted to U3P and acknowledges that all responses become an integral part of the bid package and project requirements.
