Description

This project is primarily a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) replacement project. The VFDs in Central Plants #1, #3, & #5 are beyond their service life and shall be replaced. The work shall involve replacement of VFDs that are both free-standing on the floor and are integral to Motor Control Centers. Along with installation, programming of the new VFDs shall be required. Work will be performed in operating chilled water plants. All work shall be coordinated with UAB Central Plant Operations and UAB Project Management. VFDs shall be replaced one at a time so that the new VFD is operational prior to working on the next pump system.
