Description | Last Day for Question 2/8/2022 Governor Mifflin School District Community Athletic Building BIDS ARE INVITED ON A LUMP SUM BASIS FOR THE FOLLOWING PRIME CONTRACTS: Contract #1 - General Construction Contract #2 - Site Construction Contract #3 - Fire Protection Systems Construction Contract #4 - Plumbing Systems Construction Contract #5 - HVAC Systems Construction (ESSER Funded Contract) Contract #6 - Electrical Systems Construction Electronic or faxed bids will not be accepted. No award of the contract will be made at the bid opening Notice to Proceed Goal 03/18/2022 Substantial Completion Date 08/18/2023 Earth Engineering Incorporated (EEI) has completed the geotechnical investigation for a 2-story steel framed structure (Athletic Community Building) and expansion of two (2) existing parking lots at the Governor Mifflin Middle and High School campus located at 10 South Waverly Street, Shillington in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The objective of this study was to evaluate the subsurface conditions within the proposed development areas. Based on the encountered conditions and the results of the testing performed for this project, EEI has developed preliminary geotechnical recommendations to aid in the design and construction of the proposed structures, as well as general earthwork and construction guidelines for the development of this site. This study was performed in general accordance with EEIs proposal BB-19733, dated April 1, 2021. The scope of work for this project included a test boring investigation, a geologic analysis of site conditions, laboratory testing of soil samples, pavement design and a geotechnical engineering analysis of the data obtained. The following report sections present the results of our field and laboratory investigations and documents our recommendations regarding the geotechnical engineering aspects of this project.
