Clay County Courthouse Chillers Replacement

Clay County Board of County Commissioners is requesting bids from licensed contractors for the replacement of two (2) HVAC chiller units at the Clay County Courthouse located at 825 N. Orange Avenue, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. In accordance with the provisions of Section 8.H of the Clay County Purchasing Policy, notice is hereby given and posted of the decision of the Board of County Commissioners of Clay County, Florida (hereinafter the “Board”) with respect to RFB No. 22/23-25, Clay County Courthouse Chillers Replacement. Responses to RFB No. 22/23-25, Clay County Courthouse Chillers Replacement were opened on February 24, 2023. During its regular meeting on March 14, 2023, the Board rendered its decision to award RFB No. 22/23-25 to MSI-Certified Air Contractors. This Notice of Intent to Award Bid is the official notification regarding said selection. The decision of the Board is final subject to 72-hour period for protest. Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in Section 8.I of the Clay County Purchasing Policies shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Section 8.I Bid Awards and Protests. Date of Posting: 03/15/2023 Time of Posting: 08:13 AM End Date of Protest Period: 03/20/2023 End Time of Protest Period: 08:13 AM The point of contact for this project after award will be Jim Harsey, Facilities and Building Maintenance Superintendent for Clay County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Last Date of Inquiries:February 15, 2023, 5:00pm The original Cashier or Certified Check must be received by the Purchasing Department no later than two (2) business days after the RFB due date. Board of County Commissioners :March 14, 2023 Bids require a five (5%) percent bid bond and may not be withdrawn after the scheduled opening time for a period of thirty (30) days. The term bid bond shall include bonds or cashier or certified checks payable to the County. Any Cashier or Certified Check must be uploaded with the Bid and the original Cashier or Certified Check must be received by the Purchasing Department no later than two (2) business days after the RFB due date. Performance and Payment Bonds are not required for projects of $200,000.00 or less. Prior to commencement of a project exceeding $200,000.00, in accordance with F.S. 255.05, the awarded Bidder shall file a 100% Performance Bond and Payment Bond (using Clay County's Standard Form) in the Public Record of Clay County, Florida, Recording Dept./Room 130, 825 North Orange Avenue, Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043. The recorded Performance and Payment Bonds shall be provided prior to the commencement of construction to Clay County Purchasing Department, PO Box 1366, Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043. Performance and Payment Bonds must be increased in accordance with any change order increases on the project. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all Bids without cause and to waive technical and nontechnical or non-material defects in the request or submittals of any Bids. Final completion shall be obtained six (6) weeks from issuance of the Notice to Proceed
