• Finished floor elevation must be a minimum of 8” above finished grade • Minimum 5 ½” thick concrete slab plus footings. Existing slab is 40’x40’ and must be added to. Exterior door thresholds require a ¾”x 8” recess in concrete to prevent water intrusion • Vapor barrier under concrete slab • Must be designed to withstand at a minimum 130 mph wind speed • Maximum distance between framing components 24” on center unless otherwise approved by County Administrator • Siding and roofing shall be installed vertically • County will provide and install HVAC system Screws/fasteners shall have a lifetime warranty with mushroom type cap over washer (see illustration provided, Exhibit A) • Exterior entry doors shall be conventional steel doors with steel jambs, (no mobile home type doors) • Successful proposer shall provide a framed opening for a large exhaust fan (county will provide and install fan) • Roofing shall be at a minimum 26-gauge Galvalume • Siding shall be at a minimum 26-gauge painted (color selection by County) • Seamless gutters shall be included for all roofs • Proposals shall include permit, County will waive the permit fee
