Description | PN-34808.00, V21.137 The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to solicit bids to provide the Rehabilitation of 2510 Jefferson Avenue. The project consists of the demolition of portions of an existing structure, including roofs, walls, and foundations. See attached for the link to OpenGov to respond electronically. Please note that only initial procurement opportunities are posted on eVA. To receive notification of Addenda, Award, pre-submittal meetings and other relevant information for this project, please FOLLOW the project on OpenGov Procurement. Work to be completed in: 240 Days (Substantial), 30 Days (Final) The project consists of the demolition of portions of an existing structure, including roofs, walls, and foundations. The adjacent buildings will be protected during demolition. The new work is the construction of a new 2-story wood framed building with a flat roof and brick veneer that connects to the preserved western historic facade. The historic facade will be rehabilitated by stripping paint, repointing mortar, and cleaning. Questions regarding this Invitation for Bid (IFB) must be submitted in writing through the OpenGov Procurement Question/Answer Tab via the City's e-Procurement portal, on or before, Wednesday, June 7, 2023 by 1:00 pm The new building will be slab-on-grade, bearing walls, with free-spanning timber floor framing. The new openings will be thermally broken aluminum storefront. A steel stair and limiteduse/limited access (lula) elevator will comprise the vertical circulation. Construction will be unprotected and non-sprinklered. The ground floor will include a small commercial food service area, but no grease-laden vapor-producing equipment. Grease traps will be included to treat wash-down sink outflow. The finishes will include sealed concrete and carpet floors, painted drywall, acoustic ceilings, and limited casework. 23-3753-2031 |
