Description

The City of Ferguson, Missouri desires to retain a qualified firm to install two new ceiling mounted radiant heaters in Fire Department Engine House # 2. Interested firms are invited to submit their qualifications for consideration. The submittal should contain, at a minimum, the information included in this Request for Proposal (RFP). A team of City of Ferguson officials will evaluate the submittals. If deemed necessary, a shortlist of firms will be notified for follow-up interviews. A recommendation selection will then be made and forwarded to the City Council for their consideration. Final selection authority rests with the City Council. All inquiries or contacts related to this RFP are required to be made exclusively through John Hampton, Fire Chief by email at jhampton@fergusoncity.com The City of Ferguson wishes to contract with a qualified company to install a two (2) new ceiling mounted heaters at Fire Dept. Engine House # 2 located at 10701 W. Florissant Ave. Ferguson, Mo. 63135. Scope of Services: 1.1 Remove the two existing ceiling mount heaters. 1.2 Install two (2) new heaters in an adequate configuration to evenly heat the entire engine bay. 1.3 Install adequate venting/ductwork to exhaust to the exterior of the building. 1.4 Run gas lines to power each of the heaters. 1.5 Run high voltage wiring to each of the heaters. 1.6 Install thermostat(s) to serve each of the heaters. 1.7 Perform start-up acceptance test with each of the heaters to ensure adequate operation. 1.8 Contractor will be responsible for securing any necessary permits through the city as required. The comprehensive General Liability policy shall be endorsed to cover liability assumed by the selected company team hereunder. To the extent permitted by law, the selected company shall name the City as an additional insured on all insurance policies required by the Agreement. Said insurance shall be written by a company or companies licensed to do business in the State of Missouri and satisfactory to City Representatives. Certificates evidencing such insurance shall be furnished to the City prior to the selected company commencing the work. The insurance evidenced by the certificate shall indicate that it will not be cancelled or altered, except that it may be cancelled or altered upon twenty days prior written notice to the City. The certificate(s) must state the City of Ferguson, its officers, boards, board members, commissions, commissioners, agents and employees as an additional insured on those policies if applicable. The City will be evaluating the Proposal based on, but not limited to, the following selection criteria: A. The professional and ethical reputation of the company. B. The company's demonstrated qualifications and expertise in performing the services required. C. The past record of performance with respect to quality of work and ability to meet schedules. D. Cost of services. The City reserves the right to reject any and all submittals. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Our budget is around 15-20 thousand.
