Description

General Information 1. GENERAL: This requirement is to construct new fencing at the Albeni Cove Recreation Area, which is a property of the Albeni Falls Dam Project. The project office is located at 2376 E Highway 2, Oldtown Idaho, 83822. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contractor. Sub-contractors shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government. 1.1 Description /Introduction: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, parts, supervision, and other items to accomplish this requirement necessary to perform the replacement/construction as defined in this Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. 1.2 Background: The United States Army Corps of Engineers manages twenty-two land parcels consisting of a powerhouse, wildlife management areas, campgrounds, day use areas and associated features (see Technical Exhibit 1). It is their responsibility to ensure protection, integrity, and stewardship of public lands and associated trust resources under their jurisdiction. A part of the management of these lands requires proactive inspection and replacement/ reinforcement of boundary identification such as fences, line signage, blazing, clearing, and survey monuments to ensure boundary lines are clearly defined and visible to adjacent properties, which is helpful in preventing encroachments and trespasses. Currently there are areas in some locations where no fencing currently exists. Fencing work is needed at: Albeni Cove Recreation area, 2141 Albeni Cove Road Oldtown, ID 83822 1.3 Objectives: Albeni Cove Recreation Area: W912DW22Q0030 Page 6 of 40 Objectives for boundary fencing (see Technical Exhibits 2 and 3). Install 1,280-feet of new 7-foot chain-link boundary fencing (5-foot fabric) with 3 wildlife crossing as identified in green line. Install 985-feet of new 7-foot chain-link boundary fencing (5-foot fabric) with 3 wildlife crossings as identified in blue line All quoted items must meet the requirements of the Request for Quote (RFQ) including specifications stated in all attachments. 11. The contractor should list any special features or warranty information applicable to the quoted product(s) or service(s). 12. The Magnitude of Construction is between $25,000 and $100,00. 13. Site Visit Information: See FAR clause 52.236-27, Site Visit (Construction) Faxed or mailed quotes will NOT be accepted. Period of Performance: The governments expectation is that the repairs will not take more than sixty (60) days to perform; however, the contractor shall have 4 months from date of award to complete all fencing identified. If for any reason it is determined the replacement will take more time, the contractor shall contact the Government POC to discuss additional time needed as soon as this is identified. SITE VISIT (CONSTRUCTION) (FEB 1995) (a) The clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation. Accordingly, offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. ID Requirements: Have Government Issued ID ready and sign in at the front desk PPE Requirements: Hiking boots and pants, no open toed shoes. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
