Description | For the following project: Huntington Street Waterline Replacement Village of Kelleys Island, Ohio In accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared by Bramhall Engineering and Surveying Co. (the Engineer), the project consists of installation of a new 8 waterline, hydrants and appurtenances, replacement of service laterals, pavement reconstruction and widening, minor storm sewer installation, driveway repair, grading work, seeding and mulching and maintenance of traffic. There will be no Pre-Bid Meeting. Questions by prospective bidders concerning this project should be directed in writing to Bramhall Engineering and Surveying Co., Chris Howard, P.E., by fax to (440) 934-7879 or by email to choward@bramhall-engineering.com , no later than March 17, 2023. The Village of Kelleys Island is a governmental agency, exempt from any Local, State and Federal sales taxes. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid Security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said Surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, service and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative code Chapter 123 is required. The owner intends and requires that the project be completed by no later than August 4, 2023. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Erie County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, (614) 644-2239. If the Village determines to award the contract, the Village will award it based on the lowest and best bid as determined in the discretion of the Village. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein. Bidders must purchase bid documents to be considered an eligible bidder. |
