Description

The work consists of replacing of flocculation/sedimentation equipment at Basin Nos. 5-8 including pumps, inlet gates, flocculator motors/variable frequency drives, gear reducers, drive trains, shafting/arms/couplings, bearing housing and liner, paddle wheel boards, baffle wall boards and supports, clarifier turntable assemblies, clarifier access bridges, clarifier motor/integral gearboxes, work gearboxes and pinions, rakes and launders and basin auxiliary systems; replacing of Basins Nos. 1-4 inlet gates, actuators and associated equipment; structural modifications and concrete reinforcement of basin walls and basin inlet channel; filling interior basin corners with sloping concrete fillets; replacing 127 butterfly valves and their actuators with Metropolitan-furnished equipment; replacing or modification of structural support components of equipment, piping, mechanical, electrical/control equipment, access hatches, handrails, and lights; performing hazardous material abatement; and other appurtenant work as specified and shown on the drawings.
