Description

You are invited to bid on the HVAC Replacement at Morrison Junior High School and Northside School. Demolition and replacement of existing Morrison Junior High School and Northside School HVAC equipment and control systems. Scope includes associated electrical work, cutting and patching of existing exterior and interior finishes and concealing of piping lines with break metal trims. Project includes returning surrounding construction to current conditions. Lump sum bids will be received as follows: The Owner reserves the right to accept Bidders Base Bid, accept any one or more of the Bidders Alternate Bids, reject any or all Bids, award contract based on its investigation of the Bidders, as well as acceptance of Alternates all of which the Owner deems to be in its best interest and waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the Bids and waive minor irregularities in the bidding procedure, all at the Owners discretion. Documents will be available for downloading from electronically. Contractors are responsible for registration, fees, etc. for use of this site. It is solely the contractors responsibility to verify that he is downloading all drawings, all specifications, and all addenda for this project. No additional cost will be allowed by the Owner for the contractors failure to download all material. Contractors to request access to downloads by calling the Architects Moline office or by emailing jwojak@brayarch.com or mmiller@brayarch.com. Contractor will receive email notice and invitation to view project folder to download drawings, specifications, addenda, etc. A certified check, a cashiers check or a bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and bond within ten days after the award of contract. Prevailing Wage Rates: A. All Contractors must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates as established by the Davis Bacon Act and Illinois Department of Labor. Contractor shall submit with each payment request the weekly payroll forms required by the Davis-Bacon Act (40-U.S.C. 327 et seq. (1982)). Payroll form WH-347 or similar information. Payroll forms shall be submitted (one copy) for each person employed on the jobsite by each contractor and all subcontractors. Illinois Preference Act: A. All contractors, subcontractors, and those supplying labor to this project shall comply with the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570/) commonly referred to as the Illinois Preference Act.
