Description

Asphalt sealcoat single application of approximately 28,100 SY of CRS-2PM (E-3M) Polymer-Modified Cationic Emulsified Asphalt with Type A, washed No. 8 coarse aggregate, followed by a slurry seal with Type II aggregate, on various Township roadways. Contractor shall be responsible for street sweeping roadway surface prior to application, traffic control, and street sweeping excess stone from the road prior to slurry seal application. Bids must be made on forms furnished by the Township (via online) and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of at least (10%) of the total price bid made payable to the Township; AntiCollusion Affidavit; Workman's Compensation Affidavit; and Public Works Employment Verification Act (EVerify Program) certification. Bidder must be PennDOT prequalified as a Prime Contractor for all bid items, and a copy of prequalification must be included with all bids. Attention is called to the fact that the Prevailing Wage Act 422 does apply for Bid #2022-002, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the prevailing wage rates determined for the project area as set forth in the project documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Insurance; Performance, Payment Bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price; and a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price; with a corporate surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and approved by the Township, in accordance with bid specifications.
