Replacement and Installation of Fire Hydrants Standby-Miscellaneous Construction

The unit price bid for fire hydrant assembly replacement shall include all costs associated with providing a complete fire hydrant assembly, including mobilization, 4.5 foot depth of bury fire hydrant supplied by Fulton County, replacement of 6-inch MJ connecting piece from valve to hydrant including 90-degree bend and riser, adjust valve box to grade, gravel drain, grade-lock fitting, 24” x 24” x 6” concrete shock collar at hydrant, 24” x 24” x 4” concrete collar at valve box, and all associated labor and materials. Contractor to verify that valve is securely attached to hydrant tee on main line with anchor couplings or threaded rods prior to the removal of the hydrant. The unit price bid shall include up to 2 feet of 6" MJ pipe from the valve to the bend and 4 feet of 6” MJ pipe from the bend to the hydrant. Any quantities in excess of this length will be paid under the line items for 6-inch RJ DIP water main.
