Description | Scope of work: is to include all necessary labor, material and equipment, but not be limited to, All Associated electrical, plumbing, and wall patching work shown on the drawings for the Removal and installation of New Medical Gas Alarm panels and Medical Gas Zone Valve Box. Removal of the existing Medical Gas Alarm Stations and (5) five Medical Gas Zone Valve Box serving the East and West sides of the Emergency Department. Remove and relocate (1) one triage zone valve box relocate eastside nurses' station to replace existing zone valve box. The Reconfigure of the exiting Medical Gas lines (Oxygen, Medical Air, Vacuum and No2) severing 5 Exam rooms and Triage room. Replacement of existing Pressure Transducers serving the West Side of the Emergency Department. Installation of a new Medical Gas Alarm Station located in the West Side Nurses Station. The new alarm station will be capable of integrating the Pressure Transducers from the East and West Side zone valve boxes to provide a dedicated alarm for the East and West sides of the Emergency Department. Integration of alarm signals to the Siemens Building Automation System. (Plant Operations located in the basement of the hospital) Provide back-feeding for the medical air serving the Emergency Department and ICU for the medical gas system shutdowns. Provide and install signage per NFPA 99, As-builts drawings of work completed, provide new Medical Gas Certification once all work is complete. The contractor will have access to at least (1) one unoccupied patient room at a time. Weekend work will be required to complete this project. Bids must be submitted in triplicate (3), which must have original signatures on the forms provided by the University, in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The selected contractor must comply with M/WBE goals. State University of New York goals are: 23% MBE and 7% WBE participation of the total contract value. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. |
