SWPCF Potable Water Improvements

Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: the furnishing and installation of approximately 190 LF of 6-inch diameter ductile iron pipe and the 4-inch potable water assembly including appropriate valves and fittings, electrical work and site restoration. Contractor will be responsible to include a temporary 2,000 gallon water storage tank to provide potable water until the final physical tie-in connection is made and system is in operation. Work also includes the disconnection, removal of the two existing well pumps, motors and bases located in the Potable Water Building and sealing the two wells per NJDEP, Division of Water Resources NJAC 7:9D; Well Construction and Maintenance; Sealing of Abandoned Wells. Demolition within the Potable Water Building includes all tanks, mechanical piping, motors and concrete supports and bases as shown in the drawings and associated with the existing system. Electrical demolition will be limited to the operating equipment within the building back to switch gear. A new irrigation well will be installed and connected to an existing irrigation distribution system adjacent to the Operations and Maintenance Building. It will serve 0.51 acres.
