Description | Reference Number 0000325294 Construction of dodd blvd. Storm drainage replacement/rehabilitation The project shall consist of the removal and disposal of 650 +/- liner feet of existing 72-inch corrugated metal pipe and structure(s) and replacing said pipe with new 60" reinforced concrete pipe and new structures. Each new structure will also have a weir constructed therein from the manufacturer to aid with stormwater management. There are areas where the existing pipe and the new pipe are in or close to the same ditch line, but in other areas they are farther apart. The bidder shall review the drawings for the project which shows the location of the existing pipe as well as the new pipe and structures. Portions of this project cross existing driveways of businesses and it shall be the full and complete responsibility of the successful bidder to coordinate with the owner/tenant as required to ensure that those businesses are NOT adversely impacted by the construction of this project. Existing driveways shall be replaced to the limits shown on the plans or as directed by the ENGINEER in compliance with the Drawings. This project also includes the construction of a concrete bottom in an existing 72-inch corrugated pipe which the bottom has rusted out of within most of the pipe. This pipe is approximately 425 in length with limited access. Access points are shown on the construction drawings for the project. Contract shall be 120 consecutive calendar days for completion of the work, to be computed from the date of the Notice to Proceed. All Bids must be accompanied by the Bidder's Declaration, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Certificate of Non-Discrimination, Bid Bond, List of Contractors, SAVE, E-Verify Compliance Affidavit, State of Georgia Prompt Pay Act Affidavit, Drug-Free Workplace Certificate, Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification for the project. Any Bid not having all required documents fully executed will be considered incomplete. The bid bond accompanying the bid must be in an amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the project, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount if the contract exceeds $100,000.00 dollars. The City of Rome Georgia reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise if necessary.
