| Description | Installation of new, high efficiency central air conditioning units, comprising of the following: Upgrade existing central air conditioning cooling and heating units to new high-efficiency type unit with a minimum Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating of 13 (S.E.E.R) or better at a minimum, connected to electricity as per code and manufacture's specifications. Contractor must provide a copy of the Manual J. Calculations Replace existing thermostats with digital /Programmable "Smart" versions Provide instruction to the homeowner on how to operate unit and program thermostat Check voltage and amperage for existing unit and verify compatibility requirements for new equipment Provide (2) disposable pleated A/C filters with a MERV rating of 7 or better type and instruct owner on filter maintenance. (one in unit and leave one additional with the homeowner for BWR inspection) Remove and dispose of existing central air conditioning unit where applicable and provide a de-manufacturing certificate Issue and assign all applicable warranties for equipment and/or services to the homeowner once acceptance by the County has been established. Scope of Work: Tune-up of Central Air Conditioning Units + duct repair Tune-up of existing central air-conditioning units, comprising of the following items: Check and clean condenser coil Check voltage and amperage on motors Check, lubricate and adjust blower components Check and clean condensation pan and drain Check operation pressure for proper refrigerator charge, and add/remove as needed Check all safety controls, replace thermostat with new digital programmable "Smart" type and instruct owner on use Lubricate outside fan, Check all electrical connections for cracks and/or loose connections, clean and tighten as needed Verify cooling performance, temperature drop and determine if adjustments are needed Clean evaporator coil Inspect coolant lines, replace any missing insulation Provide (2) disposable pleated A/C filters with a MERV rating of 7 or better type and instruct owner on filter maintenance. (One in unit, one additional for BWR inspection). Complete the attached Tune-up Checklist to certify all items have been verified by the Mechanical technician. Issue and assign all applicable warranties for equipment and/or services to the homeowner once acceptance by the County has been established.
