Description | The City of Seneca is currently accepting proposals from licensed and insured contractors for the construction of a plaza style entrance, patio, and retaining wall at the new Seneca Petsafe Dog Park located at the Cunningham Jr. Park on the corner of Doug Berry Dr. and Quincy Rd. Seneca SC. Specifications: Retaining Wall - Wall should be 32 inches tall and 170 feet long with three 1 block step down positions. Filter fabric pipe should be installed behind the wall with 4 inches of 57 stone of cover the full length of the wall. Wall should be constructed with Split Face CMU with properly constructed footers for stabilization. The wall should be reinforced with steel and properly grouted. The wall should be covered with water proofing and painted with an appropriate block exterior paint with color to be chosen by project owner at a later date. The wall shall have a smooth cap plate installed with binding material along the entirety of the 170 feet. Sidewalk - Project includes the installation of an 8 foot wide and 170 foot long sidewalk. Sidewalk should be 4 inches thick with a broom finish. Proper subbase shall be installed and concrete shall be reinforced with steel mesh. Sidewalk will be installed abuted against the retaining wall. End caps of the sidewalk should include an 8 inch rabbit hole for water piping for future water fountain installation. The sidewalk will be installed with three brick inlay sections for sand set brick pavers. Two sections should be 8 foot by 8 foot and the third 8 foot by 20 foot. Patio - The project includes the installation of a 90 foot by 12 foot concrete patio to be poured flush with the long direction of the previously mentioned sidewalk. The patio shall be centered along the sidewalk and have two curved designs on the narrow sides. Entrance - The patio will include a 16 foot by 12 foot poured section of concrete that will adjoint the aforementioned patio to provide for a concrete entrance into the patio. The patio shall be reinforced with wire mesh and contain a broom finish. All Concrete work should include saw cuts for proper expansion. Prior to install, all grading and site work to insure proper grade, slope, and drainage must be performed. Bids should include all information pertaining to provided warranties. All bidders should include a construction schedule identifying potential start and finish dates. Winning bidder must also coordinate with brick paver manufacturer and laser engraver for ordering and installing engraved legacy bricks in the sidewalk inlay.
