Runway 17-35 Rehabilitation - Phases II-IV at Plattsburgh International Airport

Project generally includes the rehabilitation of approximately 8,050 linear feet of Runway 17-35. Anticipated project tasks include rubblizing the existing concrete pavement, partial-depth and profile cold milling of asphalt and rubblized portland cement concrete, and placement of a bituminous asphalt concrete overlay. Full depth reconstruction will be performed at the tie-ins to existing pavements as well as other various locations. Project also includes pavement markings and modifications of airfield lighting. Lighting conduits, light cans and cable within the rubblized pavement will be replaced. The project will be bid with 2 bid alternates. Bid Alternate No. 1 includes approximately 3,700 linear feet of the center portion of the runway. The airport will be closed while working in this area. Bid Alternate No. 2 includes the work associated with Bid Alternate No. 1 and an additional 4,350 feet of runway pavement rehabilitation. Bid Alternate No. 2 will require installation of a temporary relocated threshold system.
