Description

Demolition of the existing North 1st Avenue Lift Station and installation of a new lift station wet well, valve vault, submersible pumps, control panel, concrete pad, fence, equipment, and piping associated with left station construction. Construction of manholes, 50 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sewer pipe, 20 linear feet of 6-inch PVC pressurized sewer force main, and all other necessary appurtenances for construction. Construction of 2,580 linear feet of 6-inch PVC water main, gate valves, fire hydrants, fittings, service connections and all other necessary appurtenances for construction. It is the responsibility of the Contractor bidding to use proper scaling, paper size, etc. for bid quantities. Failure to do so may result in error in the Unit Bid Quantities and/or Bid Amounts. The last day to submit questions for this project will be five (5) days prior to bid opening through electronically. The City of Teague has established a target commencement date for construction activities as February 2023. The projected completion date is within 180 calendar days. The City of Teague reserves the right to phase the construction of the Project or modify the schedule as needed and determined by the Owner due to modifications in scope. Owner anticipates the scope of work to consist of the following responsibilities: Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or an approved Bidder's bond in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum total bid, payable to the City of Teague, Texas without recourse, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds on the forms provided, within ten (10) days after the award of contract. the same amount from an approved Surety Company as a guarantee that Bidder will enter into a Bids without check or Proposal Bond will not be considered. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payments Bonds each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as Surety and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of authority from the Secretary of Treasury of the United States, or other Surety or Sureties acceptable to the Owner. The City of Teague reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date on which bids are received. The deadline to ask questions is 1/24/2023 5:00 PM CST. TCP(2-1)-18 - Project No. The Contractor agrees to complete the project on which he has bid, as specified and shown on the plans, within 180 consecutive calendar days as provided in the General Conditions of the Agreement. SCOPE OF WORK Owner anticipates the scope of work to consist of the following responsibilities: The selected Respondent will be the general contractor for the Project, which is the 2022 ARPA Water and Sewer Improvements Project. The City anticipates the following items will be included in the scope of the Project: approximately 2,500 LF of 6" PVC water main, a sanitary sewer lift station, and all other appurtenances necessary for the complete Project. The Project will be designed and constructed so as to meet all applicable federal, state, and local accessibility standards. The selected Offeror will be also responsible for: obtaining all applicable permits and inspections; providing all necessary performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates; and providing the Owner with all manufacturers' warranties and all operations and maintenance (O & M) manuals for all equipment installed. The selected Offeror may be required to perform some or all of the following preconstruction and construction services. Preconstruction Services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, planning and value engineering the Work. Construction Services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, all work associated with construction, occupancy and warranty of the facilities. The following represents a summary of the proposed improvements and estimated budget: 2022 ARPA Water and Sewer Improvements Miscellaneous appurtenances necessary for the complete Project. Estimated maximum construction budget is approximately $1.2M. This includes all incidental and contingent expenses associated with the construction of the Project.
