Water Distribution System Improvements

As of June 26, 2023 the project was awarded to Marucci & Gaffney Excavating Co., awarded amount is $4,198,023.00. Bids must be submitted using only forms contained in the bound Bid Submittal Document and must be sealed in individual envelopes addressed to the Village of East Palestine. The project name must be clearly shown on the outside envelope. The full name and address of the party or parties making the Bid and all persons interested therein shall be named in the Bid Documents. Said bids must be submitted as one original and one copy. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. Bidders shall furnish proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in Article 3 of the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with Article 8 in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall comply with all statutory requirements in accordance with Article 24 of the Instructions to Bidders. The Village of East Palestine anticipates receiving funding from the Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA) to aid in financing the Project. The requirements for Bidders, Contractors and Subcontractors are explained in the Bidding Documents. The Contract Times will commence running as indicated in the Project Manual. Contract Times for completion and provisions on liquidated and special damages, if any, are indicated in the Agreement. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
