Third Party Building Inspection and Plan Review Services

Prospective third-party inspection agencies to: (a) Conduct Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code plan reviews within the allotted time period of 15 business days for residential reviews and 30 days for commercial reviews. (b) Conduct associated site inspections. (c) Provide applicants with a formal letter of denial and indicate plan deficiencies for resubmission, if applicable. (d) Work directly with applicants scheduling of inspections. (e) Work closely with Township’s Community Development staff. (f) Work closely with the Township Fire Safety Inspectors. (g) Provide inspection results to the Township daily. (h) Serve as the Township Building Code Official. (i) Prepare certificates of code compliance and certificates of occupancy after final inspections have been approved. (j) Attend building code appeal hearings. (k) Answer code questions from residents and contractors via email, phone calls or site visits. (l) Submit a monthly invoice to the Township. (m)Provide delivery and pickup service for permit applications and plan submissions. Objective: 1. To provide an optimal and efficient level of building inspection and plan review service to Township residents and businesses.
