East Plant Automation Upgrades

The Contractor shall provide all of the materials, equipment, labor and coordination required to complete the scope of work as generally includes but is not limited to • Demo of existing chilled water (CHW) piping, pumps, valves and instrumentation and BACS devices. • Installation of housekeeping pads for new CHW pumps. • Furnishing and installation of new CHW piping, pumps, valves and instrumentation and BACS devices. • Updating of existing BACS system, graphics and sequence of operations per construction documents. • Support during commissioning including filling out of pre functional checklists and functional performance test reports, performing functional performance tests with the commissioning agent through the front-end graphics workstation and providing certified testing equipment as needed for the commissioning process. • NOTE: This project will be broken up into two phases. • Phase One: February 2021 Through November 2021- Replace individual chiller instrumentation and control valves; Replace cooling tower fan motors and install new VFD’s; Install new CHW pump VFD’s and associated electrical connections. • Phase Two: December 2021 Through January 2022 - Shut down east plant; Demo existing CHW pumps; Install new CHW pumps and connect power from new VFD’s; Install new manual isolation valves and flow meter in main CHW header; Install new CHW header and demo old piping.
