Description

The project consists of approximately 1,305 L.F. of 6" PVC water main, 2,300 L.F. of 8" PVC water main, fire hydrants, valves, service meter connections and replacements, and street repair.Instructions for bid delivery and bid opening location are set forth in the bid documents. The City of Ashland reserves the right to award the contract to the "lowest and best responsible bidder". The City further reserves the right to waive any irregularities in any or all bids, reserves the right to determine which is the most responsive, responsible bidder, and to reject or approve the bids. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of 5% of the total amount of the bid (bid bond, cashier's check, or approved money order payable to the City of Ashland, Missouri). Work under this contract to be fully complete within 150 calendar days upon Notice to Proceed. The City of Ashland is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The wage rates applicable for this project has been predetermined as required by the State of Missouri Prevailing Wage Law and are set forth in the proposal. The Contractor shall comply with all requirements with regard to immigration and e-verification of citizenship. The Contractor shall also comply with all requirements with regard to OSHA safety training and requirements. Only Missouri laborers and laborers from nonrestrictive states are allowed by law to be employed on Missouri's public works projects when the unemployment rate exceeds 5% for two consecutive months. Bonding and insurance requirements are set forth in the bid documents.
