Description | The lowest responsive bidder must demonstrate successful completion of projects of similar size and scope to be considered for the award of this contract. Location: In the towns of Belgrade, Rome and Oakland in Kennebec County Route 27 in Belgrade, beginning at the intersection of Route 8/11 (RLM 55.16) and extending in a northerly direction to the intersection of Route 225 in Rome (RLM 63.72), for a total distance of 8.56 centerline miles (17.12 Lane Miles). Route 11 in Belgrade, beginning at the intersection of Route 27 (RLM 133.77) and extending in a northeasterly direction to the intersection of Route 8 and Route 11 in Belgrade (RLM 136.94), then continuing on Route 11 in a northeasterly direction to the intersection of Route 23 in Oakland (RLM 141.90) for a total distance of 8.13 centerline miles (16.26 Lane Miles). Outline of Work: Snow plowing and ice control The initial term of this contract is for three (3) years, beginning October 15, 2022 and ending May 1, 2025. The contract term may be extended on an annual basis for up to five (5) additional years upon mutual agreement between MaineDOT and the contractor.
