Description

Fire Station 22 is located on the corner of 20th Avenue and Pass-A-Grille Way in the National Register listed Historic Pass-A-Grille District. It is the intent of the City to respect the history of the District by incorporating appropriate architecture on the exterior while housing a superior modern facility on the interior. Submitters are strongly encouraged to visit the District and tour the Pass-A-Grille Museum on 10th Avenue to gain an appreciation of the local vibe. An overnight stay with dining and shopping on 8th Avenue should not be out of the question. The following narrative is a brief history of the area and the Fire Stations that have supported it.
