Description

The City of Sunset Hills, Missouri is accepting Street Striping bids per specifications prepared by the Sunset Hills Public Works Department. Questions regarding the bid should to be submitted to Wesley E. Searcy, Assistant City Engineer via email at wsearcy@sunset-hills.com or by phone at 314-272-2543. Scope of Work: This work shall consist of the application of pavement markings to various concrete and asphalt pavement locations in the City of Sunset Hills. For 2022, the project will include 4" yellow no passing on Hilltop, a dashed 4" yellow centerline on Alswell with a stop bar, 4" yellow no passing centerline and white 4" curb lines on Geyer Rd. north of 1-44 to Kirkwood, and 3 arrows with a 4" solid white lane marking and 4" yellow no passing with a stop bar on Windward Ridge by Watson Rd. These are in 4 separate locations of Sunset Hills. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany all proposals. Bid bonds for all but the low three (3) bids will be returned within ten (10) days of the bid opening. Bonds from the three (3) low bidders will be returned within ten (10) days after the award of contract. No Pre-job meeting will be required for this package. All work awarded shall be completed within Thirty (30) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, weather pending. There will be no liquidated damages as part of this package. A wage determination from the Missouri Dept, of Labor is attached and made a part of the specifications. The successful contractor will be expected to comply with all provisions for the payment of wages relating to Public Works construction projects. Certified Payroll will be submitted with Payment Application and an Affidavit of Compliance with Prevailing Wage will be required at the end of job before retention release.
