Description

The County has determined that it is desirable to solicit offers from interested and qualified contractors to provide annual snow plowing services for the 2022/2023 snow season at nine (9) of the County's 911 tower sites listed in section 2.2 herein. In addition, the contractor(s) will be required to shovel a path to the building and around the generator. The driveway should be cleaned within 24 hours of a snow event. Initial contract period shall be determined relative to the date of proposal acceptance, legislative calendar and any other relevant terms or conditions, and is intended for work to be provided for the winter snow season 2022/2023. This contract may be renewed annually by mutual written agreement for up to (2) two additional years. Notice of intent to renew will be given to the contractor in writing by the County, normally (90) ninety days before the expiration date of the current contract. This notice will not be deemed to commit the County to a contract renewal. List of Tower Sites to be serviced under this RFP Region 1 North of Lowville 7830 No. 3 Rd., Town of Lowville 6575 Sears Pond Rd., Town of Montague 1720 Hayes Rd., Town of Denmark 8153 State Rte. 3, Town of Diana 8689 Long Pond Rd., Town of Croghan Region 2 South of Lowville 3795 Marmon Rd., Town of Lyonsdale 4805 Brenon Rd., Town of Turin 5681 Ziegler Rd., Town of Leyden 1276 North Osceola Rd., Town of Osceola Lewis County is currently seeking proposals for interested and qualified vendors to provide snow plowing of the driveways up to and around nine (9) of the County's 911 Tower sites listed in section 2.2 of the RFP. In addition, the vendor will be required to shovel a path to the building and around the generator. The County prefers a bid from a qualified contractor to provide plowing for all nine (9) tower sites but will accept bids for each region as identified in this RFP. Lewis County reserves the right to forego any formalities and reject any or all proposals. Lewis County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
