Description

The contractor shall provide all labor, specific materials, transportation, and air monitoring to abate asbestos insulation on water lines in plaster wall. All work shall remain in compliance with State, local, and Federal regulations. Removal of asbestos insulation on water lines: • Removal and dispose of approximately 10 SF of Plaster wall • Removal of approximately 10 LF of pipe insulation and asbestos debris under negative air containment. • Provide air monitoring during the abatement process. • Disposal of all plaster from wall and asbestos to an EPA approved landfill. • Clean work area Cleanup and Disposal of Trash and Hazardous waste: • The contractor shall maintain a clean work environment. • The contractor shall be responsible for the cleanup and removal of all trash and debris from VA property. • The contractor shall comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), State, and all others applicable regulations governing the proper handling, deposal, and removal of all waste and debris.
