Dundee Road: Greenview Road to Huehl Road - Water Main Replacement (Construction) - Village of Northbrook

Site work for a water / sewer project in Northbrook, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project. The water mains along Dundee Road between Greenview Road and Huehl Road are scheduled for replacement due to age, break history, and overall condition. Currently, this area has two 12-inch mains running parallel to each other in the parkway from Greenview Road to Pfingsten Road and a single 12-inch main running underneath the roadway from Pfingsten Road to Huehl Road. This project involves abandoning these mains and replacing them with a single larger diameter main running outside the roadway and connecting smaller segments of main and individual services to the new main. This work will be coordinated with the Illinois Department of Transportation. Staff anticipates engineering for this project will take place over a two-year period, concluding in FY 2024/2025, with construction in FY 2025/2026. This project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
