Description | Work of this contract consists of a single lump sum bid to facilitate construction of a 24,500 sf precast concrete Plant Addition and Remodel. The Bidder will include all labor and material costs to perform the work in the Bid Documents. Finally, the awarded Bidder must coordinate their work with direct-hire vendors contracted by the Owner. Contractors are encouraged to consider using local supplier and subcontractors in assembling final Bids. A single lump sum bid will be required for all of the work that is identified in the bid documents. It is the Owners intent to AWARD the Project to the successful Contractor on December 28, 2022. Contractor MUST be prepared to sign a contract in early January 2023. The Project is scheduled for completion by January 5, 2024. Each bid shall be accompanied by the Bidders Bond or Certified Check in the amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of the total bid, which shall be forfeited to the Owner in the event the successful Bidder fails to enter into a Contract. Bids shall be directed to the Owner securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper BID FOR CRESCENT MEATS & CATERING PLANT REMODEL PROJECT. The Owner reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three (3) lowest bidders for a period not to exceed 45 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. Bidders may be requested to submit a Contractors Qualification Statement, stating that the Bidder has the experience and equipment to undertake such work. Bidders will be required to provide Performance AND Payment bonds of 100 percent of the bid amount. This Work shall be subject to minimum wages and labor standards in accordance with State of Wisconsin statutes. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or award the project in a way that best suits the interest of Barron County (Wisconsin). |
