Description | Provide Architect/Engineer (A/E) professional services to include site surveys, acquiring field data, and verifying as-built conditions to assure accurate development of design and bidding documents, space programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, construction period services, and site visits. The A/E shall provide design and construction documents as well as construction period services to the Chief Surgeon’s Office Renovation at the Providence Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). This project is to design for the renovation of three (3) existing rooms and associated mechanical space for vascular lab to be located at 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI 02908. The project will renovate approximately 1,100 gross square feet (GSF) that is located on the 6th floor of the main hospital, Building 1, at the Providence VAMC. The renovated space will meet the needs of the existing lab by modernizing, renovating, and expanding its current space. This project will provide an 1,100± GSF clinical space for a laboratory exam room, waiting area, reception, and bathroom. Additionally, there will be minor renovations to the Chief of Surgery’s office. Mechanical space modifications will also be required. The renovated space will require modifications and additions to the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection as well as architectural work. Specialty work may include, but is not limited to, an Industrial Hygienist for asbestos, PCBs, and lead. Due to the age of the facility, there is a potential for asbestos, PCBs, and lead in each area of the project, which should be documented and identified for the applicable project area. |
