Description | The Department of Public Works intends to reconstruct approximately 1400 feet of Rimmon Street and Dubuque Street from Kelley St. to Amory St. The work will include: Approximately 4667 square yards of reclaiming in place the existing roadway surface, including all necessary grading and reshaping of roadway structure; Repaving of road, approximately 1035 tons; Construction of approximately 2800 linear feet of asphalt sidewalk; Construction of ADA compliant sidewalk ramps and tactile surfaces; Resetting of existing granite curb and installation of new granite curbing; Removal and replacement of existing drainage structures as needed; Removal of existing street light fixtures and poles and replacing with new decorative poles and fixtures; Removal of large trees and stumps; Any and all related appurtenances and incidental construction needed to complete the project. All Contractors interested in bidding are required to submit a sealed prequalification package before the above noted deadline. All Contractor's intending to prequalify and bid on the project shall note that this work is being funded through a grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). The program is subject to the requirements of Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. As such the successful bidder will need to comply with certain conditions pertaining to Davis Bacon Wage Rates, reporting, nondiscrimination, etc., in the fulfillment of the contract to be awarded. The successful bidder shall also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and codes in the performance of this contract. Local firms, minority and women owned businesses where appropriate, shall be given "maximum feasible opportunity" to participate in contracts and subcontracts resulting from this project.
