Description

A. Street Reconstruction of Blodgett Street, Wood Avenue to St. Joseph Avenue Reconstruction of this existing street will include: replacement of the existing water main and services, and most sanitary sewer laterals, and installation of new storm sewer, along with street improvements including new SR fabric and base course, replacing culverts, new draintile and ditch re-grading, along with all traffic control, erosion control and turf restoration. Asphalt driveway approaches and asphalt pavement will be done by others. Blodgett Street will be closed for this reconstruction however, pedestrian access must be maintained to residential properties and sidewalks at all times. B. Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction on 8th Street, Central Avenue to Cedar Avenue Reconstruction of this sanitary sewer will include replacement of sanitary sewer and laterals, replacement of water services, along with removal of existing concrete pavement and curb & gutter as needed for the underground pipe work (incidental to sanitary sewer and/or water service installation). Erosion control/inlet protection, traffic control, street reconstruction and turf restoration will be done by others. 8th Street will be closed for this reconstruction, however, pedestrian access must be maintained to residential properties and sidewalks at all times. Maple Avenue will be closed at 8th Street. C. Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction on Cedar Avenue, 8th Street to 400’ north Reconstruction of this sanitary sewer will include removal of existing asphalt pavement, sawing and removal of existing curb & gutter (for laterals/services), replacement of sanitary sewer and laterals, and replacement of water services. Erosion control/inlet protection, traffic control, street reconstruction and turf restoration will be done by others. Cedar Avenue will be closed for this reconstruction however, pedestrian access must be maintained to residential properties and sidewalks at all times. Maple Avenue will be temporarily closed for construction within the intersection. D. Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction on Lincoln Avenue, Blodgett Street to Briarwood Street Reconstruction of this sanitary sewer will be accomplished via pipe-bursting. Excavations will be required at proposed and existing manholes. Work by contractor will also include all erosion control, traffic control, roadway gravel base replacement, and turf restoration. Asphalt pavement (patches) will be done by others. Lincoln Avenue will remain open for this reconstruction, however side streets will be temporarily closed.
