Description | The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for Disc Golf parking lot upgrades at Johnson Park, located at 3999 Butterworth St SW, Walker, MI 49534. Funding is provided in part through a Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The project consists of removing an existing gravel parking lot, site clearing/striping, excavation and grading, construction of 75 space paved parking lot, site restoration and landscaping. Project must comply with City of Walker standards. Contractor required to obtain all necessary permits from the City. The allowable on-site construction period for this project is 30 consecutive days, with all project activity completed June 15, 2023. Dimensions, if furnished, are for general reference only and should be verified by Respondents. Kent County will evaluate, award and contract for the goods and services in this solicitation in an efficient and timely manner. The solicitation will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming with all the material terms and conditions of the solicitation, is the lowest price. In no event will notification of award be more than thirty (30) days from the date of vendor submission. A pre-submission conference will not be held for this solicitation. If the bid is withdrawn after the bid opening, the Respondent may be removed from the Bidder's list ("Vendor Registration") pursuant to Kent County Purchasing Central Purchasing and Open Market Procedures for Goods and Services section D.13 Failure to Perform Satisfactory. Each bid over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds or Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds must file a certified effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract.
