Description

Bid Bond 0.00% Payment Bond 0.00% Performance Bond 0.00% Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 09/12/2022 11:24 PM (EDT) The Kenton County Airport Board ("KCAB") is a Kentucky Municipal corporation established pursuant to the provisions of KRS Chapter 183 and is the operator of CVG located in Boone County, Kentucky. KCAB is soliciting an SOQ from qualified firms for the design of pavement rehabilitation at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport ("CVG"). The Project Overview and descriptions provided in this RFQ are intended to convey a general scope of services so that each respondent might address its experiences and present its expertise in dealing with the services requested in its SOQ. KCAB intends to utilize a combination of funding sources, including AIP entitlement and discretionary grant funding for the projects associated with this RFQ. KCAB intends to focus on the Runway 18C-36C Rehabilitation, Taxiway D2 Demo and Relocation, Taxiway E9 Demo and Relocation, Taxiways D6/D7 Demo and High-Speed Exit, and Taxiway D8 Demo and High-Speed Exit first. This project is currently scheduled for design in 2023 and construction in 2024 and 2025. Runway 18C-36C is a mixed-use 11,000-foot runway and is comprised of both concrete and asphalt sections. Taxiway D is a full 11,000 feet long parallel taxiway for Runway 18C-36C. Taxiway E9 is a connector between the CVG North Ramp/Taxilane E and Taxiway D. Additional information about pavement condition is attached to this RFQ. Runway 18C-36C and associated taxiways at CVG are currently constructed to Aircraft Design Group (ADG) V design criteria. The Boeing 747-8 (B747-8) aircraft (ADG VI) currently operates at CVG. The FAA has approved several Modification to Standards for the B747-8 operations at CVG (can be provided upon request). The selected firm will design rehabilitation projects for the B747-8 aircraft which will require FAA coordination regarding design standards (Mod to Standards or engineering briefs). This coordination may require the firm to prepare a FAA benefit cost analysis to provide justification as applicable to support the use of Mod to Standards or Engineering Brief for the B747-8 vs. ADG VI design. Potential future projects also include the asphalt reseal of Runway 9/27 (2026), Relocation of Taxiways S4, S6/S7, and S8 (2026), Taxiway E Relocation and Extension (2027), and Runway 18L-36R Runway Safety Area Tunnel and Grading Project (date to be determined). KCAB anticipates entering an overarching master agreement as a result of this RFQ with subsequent scope and price negotiations for each individual project. This RFQ includes a list of potential projects and is not necessarily exhaustive and is subject to change by KCAB. KCAB reserves the right to issue individual procurement solicitations for the services listed in this RFQ for these projects. The method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
