Request for Proposal Spring 2023 Paving and Milling City of Bluefield, WV The City of Bluefield, West Virginia is seeking responses to this Request for Proposals from interested parties for asphalt paving within the city limits of Bluefield, West Virginia. Pavements shall be as detailed below. Curbing shall be replaced where current curbing will be deemed ineffective and additional curbing may be necessary during construction, as directed by City of Bluefield personnel. Additional details and mini-maps can be provided, via email, upon request. -- Section of Oakhurst Ave 1 o Beginning approximately at Lat. 37deg.15'29.46"N Long. 81deg.12'56.65"W and Ending approximately Lat. 37deg.15'31.99"N Long. 81deg.12'51.41"W on Oakhurst Ave. o 2" Milling of Westbound Lane and 2" Surface Overlay (Min.) to match existing roadway grade. -- Section Oakhurst Ave 2 o Beginning approximately at Lat. 37deg.15'33.75"N Long. 81deg.12'47.10"W and Ending approximately Lat. 37deg.15'40.54"N Long. 81deg.12'28.56"W on Oakhurst Ave. o 2" Milling of Westbound Lane/complete encirclement of the fountain and 2" Surface Overlay (Min.) to match existing roadway grade. -- Section Oakhurst Ave 3 o Beginning approximately at Lat. 37deg.15'41.07"N Long. 81deg.12'26.50"W and Ending approximately Lat. 37deg.15'41.47"N Long. 81deg.12'23.61"W on Heatherwood Rd. o 2" Milling of Eastbound Lane/partial encirclement of the fountain and 2" Surface Overlay (Min.) to match existing roadway grade. -- Tulip St. o From Princeton Ave. 414' to a Point on Tulip St. o Curb cut and 2" Surface Overlay (Min.) to match existing roadway grade. Proposal Requirements: -- A list of similar projects and references -- Scope or outline of work and time frame for completion -- Proposed total price for all paving ALL PROPOSALS MUST BE SEALED AND CLEARLY MARKED "SPRING 2023 ASPHALT PAVING". Faxed or emailed proposals cannot be accepted. The City of Bluefield will afford full opportunity for minority business enterprises to submit a show of interest in response to this invitation and will not discriminate against any interested firm or individual on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, handicap, or national origin in the contract award. The City of Bluefield reserves the right to contract with one firm for the entire project or more than one firm for various components of the project, as the City deems to be in its best interest.
