McCallum Basic Health Sciences Building Room 113A1 Chilled Water Meter Installation

This is primarily a chilled water piping and instrumentation project. The work shall involve, but not be limited to: demolition and installation of a section of chilled water building entrance piping, along with chilled water isolation valves. To be installed in the new section of chilled water piping will be a chilled water meter, temperature transmitters, a differential pressure transmitter and hydronic specialties. Contractor shall work with UAB to manage the chilled water shutdown in order to minimize the building shutdown time. The alternate allows for the building to be isolated from the chilled water distribution system. Work includes a new Control Panel that will control two new valve actuators, monitor a new flow meter, two new temperature transducers and a new differential pressure transducer. The Control Panel will transmit the flow signal and two temperature signals via isolated outputs to an existing Metering Panel.
