Description | Prequalify contractors to bid on projects with an estimated construction value greater than $100,000 and less than $500,000 as the needs arise at the University. Most projects will be at the Storrs Campus, but could include other University of Connecticut campus locations, including, but not limited to, Avery Point Groton, Hartford, West Hartford, Stamford, Waterbury and the University of Connecticut Health Center, (UCHC) in Farmington. Scope of Work: The Roofing Contractor On-Call Program includes, but is not limited to, the following scope of work: 1. General roof removal, repair, installation. 2. Evaluation/repair of existing in-place roofing systems (See types listed under new) 3. New Membrane, fluid-applied, metal, wood shake and shingle roofing systems 4. New slate shingle roofing systems including salvage and restoration 5. New metal/membrane flashing and counter-flashing systems 6. Insulation associated with new and repaired roofing systems 7. Roofing accessories including eave and roof vents, roof drains, terminations bars, snow guards, equipment curbs, sealants, adhesives, etc. 8. Various types of gutter systems 9. Plaza waterproofing systems including plaza drains, termination bars, equipment curbs, sills and thresholds, sealants, adhesives, etc. and other work associated with this system. 10. Abatement and disposal of hazardous materials 11. Water testing for leaks 12. Contract administration including other trades 13. Light carpentry work 14. Sheet-metal work 15. Assist design team with investigative openings and repairs The contractor must also show evidence of their capabilities of the handling and disposal of hazardous containing materials such as asbestos. At all times, one person on the job site will be required to have a current certificate for Lead Safety for Renovation Repair and Painting. | ||
