Description

White Sands National Park, Restripe Roadways and Parking Lots SCOPE Striping and Re-striping: There is a breakdown of mileage and parking listed below. The contractor is encouraged to visit the park prior to bid. All Striping must meet NMDOT standards. These roads and parking areas are in Otero County. Below is the scope of work, road mileage and parking areas are estimated and should be verified by the contractor for accuracy. There is a two-way section of road that is approximately 4.8 miles, .13 miles of road into housing area, and two parking areas. Road Areas to Stripe: 1. Starting at the park entrance at Dune Drive Road, Stripe the entrance road and two-way section of the road for approximately 16,500 linear feet (LF), this road is double yellow solid and broken lines and white edge marking (fog) lines with breaks near parking areas and intersections. 2. Stripe two parking areas on either side of Visitor Center complex, one on North side and the other on South side of building. This includes markings for handicap parking. 3. Stripe one crosswalk between Visitor Center and Maintenance buildings on Dune Drive Road. 4. Stripe all stop lines and arrows where they currently exist. 5. Stripe tapered lane dividers at entrance kiosks. 6. Add two new stop lines, one at each of the two kiosks. Magnitude: Between $25,000 and $100,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
