Rogers Mesa Irrigation Project

The work shall consist of furnishing and installing high pressure (pressure rating of 80 psi or greater) buried plastic pipe conduits, along with the necessary fittings and appurtenances, to the lines and grades shown on the drawings and/or as staked in the field. Details of construction shown in the design drawings shall be considered as part of this specification. 1. Installation of pipeline & pumping plant modifications: Work consists of purchasing material and installation of approximately 1280ft of irrigation pipe and accessory infrastructre; removal of concrete manhole; installation of flowmeter and chem/fertigation valve at pump station; and reinstallation/realignment of manifold at pump station. Location and depth of existing delivery and feeder pipes located at the pump station are unknown. 2. Installation of wheeline and solid sprinkler system - approximately 4.5 ac: Work consists of purchasing material and installation of approximately 600ft of 4” wheel line with necessary appurtenances such as: aluminum pipe; wheels; power mover; pipe drains; pressure gauges; sprinkler nozzles; and required materials to attach system to stub valves. Wheel line shall have clearance to irrigate 3ft (or 4ft?) tall crops. Solid Set system consists of 1840ft of 2” aluminum pipe for surface irrigation; required tee and elbows; sprinkler nozzles; riser pipe for the sprinklers (what height?); stub valve bonnet: flush valve; and pressure gauge. 3. Installation of lateral move pivot sprinkler system – approximately 17.7 ac.: Work consists of purchase of material and installation of approximately 1118ft of pivot, associated sprinkler nozzles, and appurtenances. Project requires a system with a 4” drag hose to connect to risers; guidance system; and drag lines to connect to three phase power source; In addition, system will require one tower span (no less than 110 feet) with a clearance of approximately 20ft to pass over an existing building. Sprinkler package shall have an application rate of 8.25 gallons per minute per acre.
