Description

Bottom dip & De-brush the Renninger drain in Madison Twp/Sec 18 beginning @ STA 69+30 Follow the drain South to STA 101+50. Working side is the west side of the drain. TOTAL L.F. = 3,220’ De-brushing: Remove all trees, logs, brush, rubbish, etc. within the ditch itself. All trees and brush on banks should be cut at the same angle of the bank. Stumps should be no taller than 3” from the ground. Working side: Clear all trees and brush from bottom of ditch bank to 20’ back from top of bank. Also, remove any tree dead, dying or leaning, regardless of size, which could cause future obstructions. Non-working side: Clear everything on the ditch slope to the top of bank plus 5’ from the top of bank and any dead, dying or leaning at the top of bank to 20`. *NOTE: All Ash trees within the limits of clearing must be cut regardless of size. No large, desirable trees shall be cut unless directed by the Surveyor. Stump Treatment: Treatment of stumps must occur within one hour of cutting. Use only Indiana state approved chemicals. Stump treatment is to be performed by an applicator licensed by the Office of the Indiana State Chemist. Red or blue dye MUST be used in the chemical mixture for proof of treatment. Proof of licensing will also be required. Bottom Dip: When removing sediment, the contractor shall follow the existing bottom channel width, while dipping the ditch to grade, establishing positive flow in the drain. All sediment is to be leveled in the field a minimum of 20 L.F. from the top of the ditch bank. All sediment removed from bank slides are to be pulled back and seeded. Cleaning through farm crossings and culverts should be included in your price. Seeding: All disturbed ground and leveled spoil not in field is to be prepared 1”-2” and seeded with ACSO approved seed mix and covered with straw. Seed both banks.
