Description | Existing porcelain tiles and waterproofing system at the exterior rooftop terrace and exterior stairs at the Milander Center (4800 Palm Ave.) and replacing with new 10-year waterproofing system and new porcelain tiles. Responsibilities of the Selective Demolition and Tilework Contractor include the complete removal of the existing porcelain tiles at the exterior rooftop terrace and stairs at the Milander Center-4800 Palm Ave. Hialeah, FL, and the installation of new porcelain tiles and related accessories once the new waterproofing system is completed. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Removal and disposal of all porcelain tiles at the rooftop terrace and stairs. The contractor must leave a smooth finish once the tiles are removed to accept the new waterproofing system. Grinding may need to be included depending on the existing site conditions. 2. Wash down/clean and prepare all horizontal and vertical surfaces prior to installation of the new tiles. 3. Install new porcelain tiles as per pattern shown on the plans. 4. Tilework contractor must provide porcelain tile samples (12x12/12x24) and pricing for selection by City staff. 5. Include a $60,000.00 allowance for tiles, setting materials, grout and related accessories (please refer to proposal form). 6. Supply all labor and equipment necessary to unload and stock materials and to complete the work. 7. Safety Equipment as per OSHA standards 8. Clean up of debris and removal off-site. Contractor must dispose of all debris via dumpster. 9. Contractor must provide a minimum 5-year manufacturer’s warranty for all materials and 1-year labor. |
