Description | Engineering Design Services RFSQ for replacement of an existing potable water pump station. Provides water and wastewater services to a population of approximately 130,000 people in a 24.5 square mile area in the central portion of Salt Lake County. The District’s mission is: “Stewards of Water: delivered clean and safe for daily use and collected responsibly to protect public health and the environment.” To meet its mission, the District maintains over 375 miles of waterlines, 300 miles of wastewater collection lines, nine storage reservoirs, eight deep water wells, and twelve wastewater lift stations. The District is responsible for the planning, engineering design and construction of water system and wastewater infrastructure improvements, upgrades, replacement, and other related projects and systems within the District's service area. The District requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for design services to replace and upgrade the Ridgeland Pump Station, located at 2386 South 3600 West in West Valley City, Utah. The Ridgeland facility consists of a 2 MG reservoir (constructed in 1969), a 4,000 GPM pump station (2x 2,000 GPM pumps) that used to include a well (now abandoned), a storage building, a control valve shed, and a generator. This project will replace the pump station and generator with a similar capacity facility. The reservoir and storage building will remain, and the existing building containing the pump station and well (previously abandoned) will be demolished. The control valve shed (adjacent to the reservoir) contains a reservoir fill valve that will need to be relocated into the new pump station. |
