Description

Long Lake Dike "A" Rehab - Burleigh County ND Work includes: 1. Site Clearing 2. Rehabilitation of approximately 1900 linear feet of dike. 3. Install Riprap with geotextile along lakeside slope of dike. 4. Reseed dike crest with seed mixture designated by Refuge Manager. The awardee must furnish payment and performance bonding within 10 calendar days after award notice. An offer/bid Guarantee is required NAICS 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT: The contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to rehabilitate Dike A at Long lake NWR in accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. The period of performance is 150 days after issuance of the NTP, Construction is expected to start between mid-May to late June depending on water levels and weather conditions at that time. Location and Inspection of the Site: Failure of the contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve the contractor from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the government. Commencement, Prosecution, and Completion of Work (APR 1984) The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within 10 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 150 DAYS, after notice to proceed. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. Contract Work Hours The performance period established for this contract is based upon all work being conducted during regular working hours. Regular working hours are in accordance with the Project leader and the Valley City NFH hours. If the Contractor desires to carry on work outside regular hours, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Government holidays, a request must be submitted to the Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer Representative in sufficient time to allow satisfactory arrangements to be made by the Government for access to the work site and inspection. (End of clause) 52.211-12 Liquidated Damages -- Construction (SEP 2000) (a) If the Contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified in the contract, the Contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $192.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. (b) If the Government terminates the Contractor's right to proceed, liquidated damages will continue to accrue until the work is completed. These liquidated damages are in addition to excess costs of repurchase under the Termination clause. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
