Description | For ARFF Heating and Vehicle Exhaust Upgrades at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport The work under this Contract is comprised of the following items: Remove the existing vehicle exhaust systems within the EMS and Fire Apparatus Bays and replace them with self-contained, circulating exhaust filtering and removal equipment. Provide gas-fired radiant heaters to the EMS and Fire Apparatus Bays. The addition of the radiant heaters will also include an upgrade to the existing incoming BGE gas meter assembly. Provide power upgrades including but not limited to transformers, panelboards, disconnects, motor starters, wiring and conduit to accommodate the heating and exhaust equipment as well as lighting fixture replacements within the EMS and Fire Apparatus bays. Remove existing sidewall sprinkler heads at overhead doors and replace with high temperature heads to accommodate NFPA compliant installation of proposed gas-fired radiant heaters. An Add Alternate has been included for upgrades to the existing BAS controls to monitor the run times, status, and temperature setpoints for the proposed equipment. Provide a new SNE in the Mechanical Equipment Room and tie in to Metasys via IP connection from the existing ARFF network switch. The base bid will include all factory controls for the heaters and exhaust equipment to allow operation as shown on the contract drawings. The contractor shall engage a dedicated commissioning coordinator (CxC) to oversee the activites of the subcontractor staff and manage the overall contractor activities associated with the commissioning process. The Contractor's commissioning coordinator shall perform the duties identified in Specification Section 01 91 13 - General Commissioning Requirements.
