Furnish and Install Replacement HVAC Unit at Parks and Recreation Gymnasium

Engage the services of a competent and qualified HVAC contractor to replace an existing unit serving one-half of the gymnasium space at the Parks & Recreation Facility at 6 Fairfield Boulevard in Wallingford, Connecticut. Heating to this space (half gymnasium) is presently provided by a gas-fired unit hung from the underside of the roof trusses and exhausts through the rooftop. As maintenance access is difficult to this unit, this project will replace it with a new heating/ cooling unit to be pad-mounted on the ground outside of the south gymnasium wall. The contractor shall modify/ replace the existing supply and return ductwork and natural gas piping to accommodate this modification. This includes, but is not limited to, removing and reinstalling the existing roof truss mounted ductwork to serve the replacement unit. The gymnasium space being served by the new unit is 90’ long x 64’ wide x 30’ tall. The remaining half gymnasium space will continue to be served by an existing unit to remain.
